Axial-load Capacity of single pile
Pile capacity Qu is the sum of the shaft and toe resistances, Qsu and Qbu, respectively.
The allowable load Qa is determined by:
Qa=(Qsu)/F1 +(Qbu)/F2
where
F, F1, and F2 are safety factors. Generally F lies between 2-3 for permanent structures but value can change depending on the perceived reliability of the analysis and construction as well as the consequences of failure.
